AMaViS (A Mail Virus Scanner) is a high-performance and reliable interface between mailer (MTA) and one or more content checkers: virus scanners. The bad header processing checks the emails on bad or infected header. If they are bad, they will be quarantined. Aparently there is a quite a lot of broken mail software out there that trigger some of the bad header checks. For this reason, this method has now been explicitly disabled, also to deliver bad header mails that are not infected.
The Anti Virus product Avira Antivir will now be identically licensed like all Collax Modules. With this method a higher handling comfort is reached.
File shares and their files can be scanned within periodic intervals or on access of files. NFS file shares can not be combined with on access scanning because the NFS export of shares will fail.
