Problems Fixed in Version 5.0.32

Misc: High Load when updating ClamAV manually

The manual pattern update of ClamAV led to an infinite loop, which caused high CPU load. This will be fixed in this update

GUI: Auto-logout

In version 5.0.26 there was an automatic logout in the system integrated. In several situations the user activity was not detected correctly, so that the user was logged off too often. This behavoir has been corrected. Also there is now the choice with this update to manually set the time out in a the form Settings → Usage Policy → Administrator. The default is set to one hour. For user sessions via Collax web access the time out can be changed in the form Settings → Services → Webserver. The default is set to one day.

LDAP: Usage Policies of Active Directory Groups

When importing groups from an Active Directory lower case and upper case hadn't been considered. Consequently the group permissions hadn'n been set properly and users weren't able to use services. This caused that permissions of imported users weren't set correctly. With this update lower and upper case is included, users get the right permissions for Collax services.

System Management: Amavis SNMP agent is shown as critical even if it is not activated

The active monitoring tried to check the Amavis SNMP agen so far, even if SNMP was not activated. This problem is solved now. The service is now only monitored if the SNMP is activated.

Zarafa Groupware: Automatic quota monitor update

The quota display in Zarafa will now be updated automatically.

Zarafa Groupware: Obsolete proxy person assignments will be ignored

After this update obsolete proxy person assignments will be ignored.

Notes

Security: Disable Amavis bad header processing

AMaViS (A Mail Virus Scanner) is a high-performance and reliable interface between mailer (MTA) and one or more content checkers: virus scanners. The bad header processing checks the emails on bad or infected header. If they are bad, they will be quarantined. Aparently there is a quite a lot of broken mail software out there that trigger some of the bad header checks. For this reason, this method has now been explicitly disabled, also to deliver bad header mails that are not infected.

Add-on Software: New Licensing of Avira Antivir

The Anti Virus product Avira Antivir will now be identically licensed like all Collax Modules. With this method a higher handling comfort is reached.

Known Issues

File: NFS File Share Malfunction if using On Access File scanning

File shares and their files can be scanned within periodic intervals or on access of files. NFS file shares can not be combined with on access scanning because the NFS export of shares will fail.
