The Collax SDK – real support
Our vision is to make leading technology and a comprehensive Linux and Open Source platform available for SME solutions. By using the SDK independent software vendors (ISV) can shorten their development cycles and, at the same time, offer their customers significant added value. To ensure the above goals Collax has decided to offer more than a simple Open Source platform:
Collax offers its core technologies – the Collax Integration Framework and the Web GUI – to its partners, and thereby offers you all available added value services (Mail / Fax / File Server, Back Up, Web Proxy, SSL-VPN, Firewall, Spam, Gateway, Web mail, Groupware, …) for your customers.
The SDK provides all required tools and interfaces (API) for all categories, native Linux applications and web applications, including comprehensive documentation. The SDK offers you the right tools for a wide spectrum of applications. The SDK contains a sophisticated tool chain; tools that offer you everything you need ranging from Quell text to the final product. At the final step your application is packaged for the Package and Update Management System. This step ensures that later updates can be carried out quickly and easily.
The packages are grouped in a Cabinet File. The Cabinet File serves an easy installation. Customers receive this file from you and following a simple upload the application is fully installed and ready for use. With multiple examples and application examples the SDK documentation comprehensively explains the use of all the tools and applications. The SDK documentation helps you, step by step, with all phases of the development.
Use the Collax Integration Framework, which is responsible for a seamless interaction of all components. The Framework ensures a consistent and reproducible status, thereby ensuring a user friendly and professional level of system management.
In addition to the native Linux application the Collax Solution Platform provides all the requirements for the integration of web applications. Whether Java or LAMP, Web Server, databases, or script languages, the many helpful tools make the integration fast and easy to do.
