For example, Collax Net Backup supports diverse client operating systems. This enables the backup of servers and workstations under Mac, Windows, or Unix operating systems. The configuration of the backup and restore solution takes place in centralized form via the Collax solution. To implement even complex backup tasks smoothly and to use the usually expensive backup media economically, a number of individually configurable backup processes are possible. Apart from full and incremental backups, monthly, weekly, or daily backup routines can be used along with a tape rotation system. The program also supports differential combinations. With the help of wizards, it is also possible to roll out efficient backup strategies like the "grandfather-father-son" concept or the "towers of Hanoi".

With Collax Net Backup, restoring selected data or the entire system is as easy as can be: the backed-up data of all systems can be restored to temporary locations, individual directories, or directly to the original locations by means of an easy-to-use user interface. An entire Collax system can be restored in three steps.
