Deployment Scenarios
The Collax e-mail archiving module can be operated in various ways: either directly on a Collax server along with the Collax mail server or on the gateway solution Collax Security Gateway (for the purpose of archiving all traversing e-mails).
We recommend deploying the archiving system on a separate server between the gateway and the mail server. By means of this configuration, the data will be stored more securely on a dedicated server and will have the needed "safety margin" to the gateway.
