Collax Net Backup
The Net Backup module will back up any computer onto both tape and disk and comply with the most complex of backup schedules. It supports a wide diversity of target operating systems.
This enables you to backup all servers and workstations regardless if they are Mac, Windows, or UNIX operating systems.
All configuration of the backup and restore solution is done centrally form the Collax server. All that needs to be done on the clients is to install an agent; no configuration is required at all.
Net Backup enables you to implement even the most complex backup tasks smoothly and effortlessly. It also lets you optimise how you use both your expensive backup media and cheaper media to strike a balance in economy. To achieve this, a number of individually configurable backup processes are possible.
Apart from full and incremental backups it is possible to perform monthly, weekly and daily routines along with a tape rotation system. The program also supports differential combinations.
With the help of wizards, it is also possible to roll out efficient backup strategies like the "grandfather-father-son" concept or the "towers of Hanoi".
