Protection from E-Mail-Borne Risks

AntiVir Mailgate gives you full control over malware that tries to reach you by E-Mail. Thus, you can counter any dangers right on the server, reliably protecting the workstations in your network from being infected. Any E-Mail identified as being infected is not forwarded. The administrator receives a detailed report by E-Mail. Additionally, the sender and the recipient are informed about the infection. A real alternatibe to Symantec and MacAfee.

Surf Protection

With AntiVir WebGate for the Collax servers, HTTP connections and browser-based FTP connections can be scanned. The virus risk is countered right on the server, thereby preventing workstations from being infected while the users surf the Internet or use Web-based E-Mail services.

Protection of the Central File Server

AntiVir Guard can check all file accesses of the users to file shares for viruses. The protection works for all protocols, no matter whether the access takes place via SMB, CIFS, NFS, FTP, or Web DAV. AntiVir Guard makes sure that the files are scanned in real time when opened, closed, and executed (on-access technology).

• The signatures for identifying harmful code are automatically updated at regular intervals by the built in the automatic update function. This means your system is always protected by the latest anti-virus software in the best way possible at all times.
• AntiVir offers reliable protection against viruses, worms, Trojan horses, spyware, jokeware, root kits, botnet zombies, and other malware.
• Every incoming, outgoing, and internal e-mail is checked in real time, Web connections are checked in real time, and files are checked in real time when accessed, closed, or executed (on-access technology).
• When a threat is detected, the administrator is alerted immediately.
• Unknown archive formats and infected or suspicious files are quarantined automatically. Optionally, these can be deleted directly.
• All common archive formats are opened, and their contents are checked. The file-caching system avoids the time-consuming re-scan of files that had already been checked and that have not been modified. E-mail attachments including compressed attachments are checked recursively.
• The protection works for all protocols, i.e. for file access via SMB, CIFS, NFS, FTP, or Web DAV, mail traffic via SMTP, POP3, IMAP, or MAPI, and Web traffic via HTTP or FTP.
