The Collax E-Mail Archiving solution can be implemented with no impact on your existing E-Mail products, but provides a unique archiving solution.

Apart from the archiving feature every employee can be granted access to their archive. The employee no longer needs to administer their E-Mail and can easily restore accidentally deleted E-Mails. In this way, the mail server load is reduced, and you can avoid E-Mails from being stored only on the employee's local workstation (without central backups).

The administrator, too, can delete E-Mails from the mail server in a much easier and quicker way without being worried about having deleted too much. Any needed E-Mails can easily be retrieved at all times from the Collax E-Mail archive. Compared to backup solutions that usually run backups at night, the Collax archiving solution backs up the data immediately upon receipt. Should a received E-Mail be deleted accidentally prior to a backup run, it can still be restored from the archive.

• Comprehensive index always available, even for data transferred to external storage. Instant indexing of the archive as soon as E-Mails arrive. This keeps the archive at an optimal search state.

• Data integrity: signed storage, authenticity check in the event of queries. All arriving E-Mails are instantly signed and stored as stated by many countries regulations.

• bcc E-Mails, too, are archived; the bcc recipient can find them with the help of the search function.

• User and auditor access: Unlike many systems the bcc E-Mails are also archived and their state and integrity are maintained.

• Reliable backup before arriving at users computer. All E-Mails are archived even before the end recipient receives the E-Mail. This leads to a truly consistent archive.
